About JHDT Essentials

JHDT Essentials was founded by Jason Harris, a former Military Police Dog Handler and Quarantine Detector Dog Handler. based in Port Macquarie, NSW, with a simple belief: the equipment you use in training shapes the relationship you build with your dog.

Our Story

With years of hands-on experience in dog training — working with everything from energetic puppies to seasoned working dogs — Jason saw a gap in the Australian market for gear that was genuinely built to perform. Most leads and collars were either too flimsy for real training work or too industrial for everyday use. JHDT Essentials was born to bridge that gap.

What We Stand For

Every product in the JHDT Essentials range is selected and tested with one standard in mind: would a professional trainer trust it? We supply dog owners and professional trainers across Australia with leads, collars, and accessories that are built to last, comfortable for the dog, and practical in the field.

• Quality materials — premium hardware and stitching that holds up to daily use
• Trainer-approved design — gear that works the way it should, every time
• Australian-focused — shipping nationwide with service you can count on

Who We Serve

Whether you're a first-time dog owner working through basic obedience or a professional trainer running multiple dogs through structured programs, JHDT Essentials has the gear to support you. We understand that no two dogs — or handlers — are the same, which is why we offer a range suited to different needs and training styles.
